California's drought
California's drought normally causes the water to taste a little off, however this time it came a little earlier than normal. According to CNN California water starts to taste a little funky around the end of the summer, but this time it came at the beginning. Even though this can easily be fixed (by either putting it in the refrigerator or putting lemon into it) this is an indication that rivers, streams, and reservoirs are drying up in the California area. The increased temperatures reduce the amount of snow that melts into the reservoirs and streams. Due to the fast-depleting water supply, California officials have decided to close down the Edward Hyatt power plant for the first time since 1967. This lack of water in California has forced many other businesses to close and left many to prepare for droughts in the months to come.
